We are committed to monitoring and improving reducing environmental impacts and to incorporating ethical and sustainable environmental practices into business decisions.
We at PreciousIYKYK pledge to donate 5% of our proceeds from each sale to organisations that are doing incredible work.
Trees for Kili is a charity which was founded in 2018. ‘The initiative is a conservation charity in Northern Tanzania working on a long term goal to plant 50 million trees in a pioneering reforestation campaign of Mount Kilimanjaro. Africa’s highest peak, has experienced rapid deforestation. This has triggered higher temperatures that have caused its iconic snow cap to melt at an alarming rate and has threatened this diverse ecosystem.
Trees for Kili aims to reverse the shrinking vegetation and lower temperatures in order to restore the melting glaciers.’ This in turn will preserve the water supply to the Serengeti Plains and the greatest migration on earth.
Wildlife
"Since the 1940s, when lions numbered an estimated 450,000, lion populations have blinked out across the continent. Now they total as few as 20,000 animals.
The Big Cats Initiative aims to halt lion population declines and to restore populations to sustainable levels."
To address this critical situation, the National Geographic Society has launched the Big Cats Initiative, an emergency intervention to halt the alarming decline of big cats which is combined with longer-term strategies to restore populations. “We no longer have the luxury of time when it comes to big cats,” says National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence Dereck Joubert.
People
We believe that everyone deserves to live a happy and fulfilling life. We also believe that being there for children really matters. That’s why we donate to Love146.
This Love146 organisation journeys alongside children impacted by trafficking today and prevents the trafficking of children tomorrow. Their vision is the end of child trafficking and exploitation. Nothing less. They believe that they can achieve this through a bold, broad vision that cannot be achieved by only one person, organisation, perspective or approach. They work with a broad base of stakeholders and supporters.
Together, we can make a difference. We invite you to join us in our mission to create a better world.
